She was predeceased by: her parents, Susan W. Jackson and Charles Gilbert; and her children, Edna Smith, James Calvin Smith and Nathaniel Williams Sr..
She is survived by: her nephew London Williams (Bubba); her niece Bonnie Smith; her children, Larry D. Smith (Shirley Smith), Betty J. Bates, Barbara A. Bates, Samuel S. Bates (Sharntell Bates), Jenatara L. Bates, Geraldine Bates (Curtis Boswell), Stacy N. Lummus (Howard Lummus Jr.) and Ayanna M. W Lowry (Shawn A. Lowry); her grandson Nathaniel Williams Jr.; her children, Debra A. Bates-Knowles (Jasper Knowles), William N. Bates (Tracy B. Bates) and Vicky Sanders; her grandchildren, Markeisha Smith, Ramona Brooks Londell Wesley (Charles Brooks), Larry Smith Jr. Ayanna M., Lowry, Ashley Smith-Turner, Candace Smith, Jenara Bates, Samuel Bates Jr. Sandaniel Bates, Jerya Bates, Jevonte Bates, Latasha Bates, Danyell Bates, Kenneth Bates, Michael Bates, Shatasha Bates, Armond Bates, Victory Bates, Regina Bates, Creiona L. Bates, Teresa Heath, Ty'ree Heath and Christopher Mimes Jr. Dominique Mimes; and her friend Claude H. She is also survived by 50 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
