He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Powell and Esther Powell (Ford); his son Greg Powell; and his siblings, Guy Bright, John William Powell, Tommy McLelland, Mary E. Graham, Maude Kelly, Marie Pierce, Bobby and Jaycee Powell.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Weller (Al) of Mount Gilead, Kurt Powell (Peggy) of Cardington, Jeff Powell (Kathy) of Mount Gilead and Robin Ebert (Gene) of Cardington; and his pet Petey. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild on the way; numerous nieces and nephews.
