He was predeceased by: his parents, John Freeman and Mary Byler (Yoder); his siblings, Vernon Byler and Sarah; his brothers-in-law, Dan B. Yoder and Jake Burkholder; and his grandchildren, Allen and Laura Byler.
He is survived by: his children, Amos Byler (Anna) of Apple Creek, Daniel Byler (Fannie) of Fredericksburg, Junior Byler (Anna) of Dundee, Elmina Hershberger (Daniel) of Millersburg, Freeman Byler (Iva) of Millersburg and Mary Ann Miller (Marion); his siblings, Lavern Byler (Sylvia) of Pennsylvania, Catherine Burkholder of Indiana, Susie Yoder of Hartville and Esther Bease of Massillon; and his sister-in-law Miriam Raber (Alfred). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.
