He is survived by: his wife Fern; his children, Keith of Columbus, Rita Gerber (Bob) of Millersburg, Jan Conrad (Tom) of Wadsworth, Kristine Geiser (Dale) of Rio Grande, Ronda Beougher (Nathan) of Heath, Mark (Connie) of Williamsburg, Virginia, Kermit (Future) of Troutman and Iris Bornman (Andrew) of Samachique, Mexico.; and his grandchildren, Sheila Koontz (Mike), Sara Smetzer (Brian), Kevin Begly, Isabella, Sofia Begly, Aaron Gerber (Rebekah), Amy Doerfler (Matt), Ryan Conrad (Kristen), Josh Conrad (Lindsay), Joel, Caleb Geiser, Zac Beougher (Grace), Abi McColley (Connor), Moses Makayune, Jonathan Begly, Samuel, Hannah, Josiah and Lydia Bornman. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren.

“We had the pleasure of being neighbors to Maynard in Gallia County. Over the years he would walk twice or sometimes three treks up our long driveway, accompanied by his caregiver Mellissa, and we would talk about many things. We talked of religion, nature and animals of the area. My wife would make food & breads and take to Maynard and I would ride him through the woods on my Kawasaki Mule. Later on, when he could not walk or go riding, I would stop by and play the game he loved, Cubic.”
