He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfons Lauwers and Geneva Lauwers (Grismore); his son Christopher Lauwers; and his siblings, Larry Lauwers, Tom Lauwers and Kathy Lauwers.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Amstutz; his sons, Patrick and Ben Lauwers Sr.; his grandchildren, Benjamin Jr., Cole, Haylie Lauwers, Drake Gonder and Alexis Medley; and his siblings, Deborah Morrison (John), Mark Lauwers (Stephanie) and Kenny Lauwers (Sue).
