She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey and Esther; her husband Glenn Pfaender; and her brother Doug Anderson. She is survived by: her children, Terri Goss (John) and Scott Gier (Cathy); and her sister Sandra Zettelmeier. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust USA, or an elephant sanctuary.
