He is survived by: his wife Patricia Garner; his son Brent Fairchild (Tammy) of Morrow; his siblings, Wanda Cherryholmes (Russell) of Waynesville, Anna Pelphrey of Wilmington, Rita Titus of Wilmington, Sharon Lane (Ronald) of Wilmington, Ronald H. Fairchild (Barbara) of Waynesville and Joe R. Fairchild (Terry) of Cincinnati; his grandchildren, Brandon Fairchild, Chelsea McDonald, Jamie McElwarth, Brittney Witte and Ashley Hein; and his great grandchildren, Camden, Jackson, Kelan, Aubrey, Eyan, Callen, Nathaniel, Bexleigh and Emalynn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
