He was predeceased by: his sibling Eleanor Burkhardt. He is survived by: his spouse Carol Burkhardt; his children, Edwin Burkhardt, Jr. (Linda), Todd Burkhardt (Stephanie), Deborah Falvey (John), Juli Schmitt (Steve) and Jon Burkhardt (Andrea); his grandchildren, Jadon, Kyla, Noah, Hannah, Zack, Drew, Haley and Madison; his sibling Sue Urschler; and his sibling-in-law Leo Urschler.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Philip Church.
