He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Amelia; his wife Mildred Louise Volkerding; and his siblings, Richard, Louis and Anna Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, James Volkerding (Teresa) of Morrow and Judy Pidgeon (Mike) of Pleasant Plain; his grandchildren, Chad Pidgeon, Amy Nurre, Brett Pidgeon, Sarah Volkerding and Megan Conner; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Grant, Will Nurre, Ava, Chad, Coebe and Raelyn Pidgeon.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to be sent to the Morrow United Methodist Church, 510 Welch Road, Morrow, OH 45152.
