She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schertzer (Bruce) and Hester Schertzer (Carpenter); her husband Harold E. Carpenter; her brother Robert Schertzer; and her great grandchild Ethan Carpenter.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Bumgarner (Franklin), Robert Carpenter (Linda), Kevin Bumgarner (Deborah), Craig (Dawn), Ryan Bumgarner (Melonie), Jill Grim (Frank), Bradley Carpenter (Ying) and Nicolas Carpenter (Amecia). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice or the donor's choice.
