It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verna M. Mahaney (Moraine, Ohio), born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 14, 2018, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son David Thompson II; her siblings, John, David, Fred, Esther, Betty and Barbara; and also Ralph Mahaney.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Sharkey, Cheryl Kindler (Ken) and Rhonda Wamsley (Chris); her grandchildren, Kyle Sharkey (Beth), Derek Sharkey (Lindsay), Katie Sharkey, Rachel Kindler, Abigail Kindler and Sydney Wamsley; her great grandchild Sage Sharkey; and her siblings, Bernard, Richard, Mary, Ann and Margaret. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 3:00pm until time of service at 4:00pm at Newcomer South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Verna's memory.
