He is survived by: his wife Patricia L. Young; his children, Lavenia Edwards (Jason) and Richard Vernon Young Jr. (April); his grandchildren, Jenisa Richmond (Lester), Malik Young, Jazmyne, Destini Cooper, Darryl Crowder, Cavender, Gabrielle and Jason Ian Edwards; his brothers, William (Kyle) and Oliver Young; and his nephew Christopher Barton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
