He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Schmid and Eleanor Schmid; his sister Sandra; and his brother-in-law Gordon Yerke. He is survived by: his wife Lora; his niece Heather Holmes (Greg); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brianna, Claire and Michael Yerke (Haven); and also, Julien, Michaela, Karl, Melody Setzler (Donald), Ella and Gordon.
