With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Ann Mahan of Montpelier, Ohio, born in Edon, Ohio, who passed away on March 10, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. DeWire and Verna DeWire (Barron); her former husband Donald Mahan; her daughter Sabrina; and her siblings, Robert, Rosemary and Marilyn.
She is survived by: her husband James Hurd; her son Gregory Mahan (Debra) of West Unity; her grandchildren, Bradley Mahan (Jackie) of Montpelier and Laura Smith of West Unity; and her brother William DeWire. She is also survived by 5 great granddaughters; 5 step-children; 11 step-grandchildren.
Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, the family will receive friends while observing social distancing precautions.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or an organization of the donor's choice.
