He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon F. Anderson and Venita R. Anderson (Jones). He is survived by: his close friend Linda Wernet of Montpelier; his grandchildren, Hayden, Tyler, Tate, Chloe, Reagan and Addison; his sister Pamela Herschel of Toledo; his niece Meredith Hustwick (David) of Toledo; his nephew Craig Herschel (Melanie) of Saline, Michigan; and also, Todd Wernet of Columbus and Troy Wernet (Meg) of Columbus.
Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, the family will receive friends while observing social distancing precautions.
Rick was a charitable member of the community, supporting many causes, including the Williams County "Blizzard Auction," Fairlawn Auction at Sauder Village, the Bryan Area Foundation, and countless other charities.
