He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dan and Sylvia E. Knapp (Naveau); and his pet Trixie. He is survived by: his former wife Sandra K. Carpenter; his wife Sandy; his parents-in-law, Susan Collins (James) of Hillsboro, NC and Robert Carpenter (Jamie) of Defiance; his nieces and nephews, Heather Collins, Lisa Lambert (Joseph), Charlie Carpenter and Jay Carpenter (Sarah); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tristan, Alyssa and Jordan.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Williams County Humane Society or to St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
