It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael D. Kannel of Montpelier, Ohio, born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on June 21, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Ira "Smitty" Kannel. He is survived by: his mother Marilyn Kannel (Schafer); his grandchildren, Olivia, Dexter, Emily Kannel (Montpelier), Elijah, Jude, Miriam Kannel (Springfield), Evelyn and Lily Kannel (Auburn); and his siblings, Philip (Debra) of Vero Beach, FL, Cynthia Barrett (Willard) of Montpelier and Suzie Miller (Brian) of Bryan. He is also survived by his sons, grandsons, and close family friends.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Mike are asked to make a donation to the Montpelier Church of Christ for the Woodburn Christian Children's Home.
