He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and Zelma A. Cogswell (Allion); his siblings, Ed, Lawrence, Wayne Cogswell and Mable Maugherman; and his half-brothers, Clair, Alonzo and Lenard Cogswell.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys O. Stahler; his children, Rodney Cogswell (Dee) of Alvordton, Randy Cogswell (Renee) of Pioneer, Ronda Vonalt (William) of Montpelier and Roxane Welsh (Jason) of North Lewisburg, Ohio; his grandchildren, Erika Cogswell, Erik Cogswell, Ryan Cogswell, Kaylee Welsh, Tyler Welsh, Brittney Vonalt, Ashley Welsh and Braden Vonalt; and his brothers, Morris Cogswell (Emily) of Bryan and Lyle Cogswell of Montpelier.
