She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester "Davy" Knecht and Euprasia Pearl Knecht (Brannan); her husband Robert G. Ely; and her siblings, James, Bud Knecht, Sandra Stoy and Sue Peterson.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan Decker (Steve) of Bryan; her grandchildren, James R. Moon, Jr., Kenneth J. Moon, Kevin G. Moon and Stevie K. Lanzer; her sister Linda Fenicle (Ron) of Montpelier; and her siblings-in-law, Maxine Knecht of Glendora, California, Norman Stoy of Montpelier and Floyd Peterson of Pioneer. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Montpelier.
