He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul J. Messner and Ethel Alice Messner (Mettler); his grandson Steven Thompson; and his brother James Messner (Karen Moore). He is survived by: his children, Laurie Walkowski (Ted) of Montpelier, Daniel Messner (Crystal) of Edon and Lisa Dulle (Tom). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
