It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerald Mercer of Montpelier, Ohio, born in West Jefferson, Ohio, who passed away on July 8, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis E. and Thelma Mercer, Sr. (Wright); his siblings, Otis Mercer, Jr. (Sandra), Wilber Mercer, Larry Mercer, Janice Hendricks (Jess), Nancy Allomong (Lyle) and Nadine Wilcox; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Wiyrick and Marvin Bernath.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Mercer; his children, Kris Pritchard (Steve) of Montpelier and Loyd Mercer (Dani Tedrow) of Archbold; his grandchildren, Chase and Colin Mercer; his sisters, Deloris Wiyrick of Mountain Grove, MO and Lynette Bernath of Pioneer; and his sister-in-law Rita Mercer of Bryan.
Memorial contributions may be given to First Presbyterian Church.
