He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira J. Kannel and Phyllis M. Kannel (Williams). He is survived by: his former wife Marilyn J. Schafer; his wife Marilyn J. Kannel of Montpelier; his children, Dr. Philip Kannel (Debra) of Dorsey, IL, Michael Kannel (Susan) of Montpelier, Cynthia Barrett (Will) of Montpelier and Suzanne Miller (Brian) of Montpelier; and his siblings, Priscilla King of Fort Wayne, IN, Connie Morgan of Seattle, WA, Judy Greer of Joplin, MO and Jerry Kannel (Sharon) of Lewis Center, OH.. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren.
