He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond W. Jerger and Florence R. Jerger (Fritch); his granddaughter Tara Jerger; his great grandchild A. J. Anderson; and his siblings, Larry Jerger and Joan Kimpel.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Jerger (Dee) of Gardner, Joseph Jerger (LuAnn) of Bryan, Randy Jerger (Jeannie) of Bryan and Erin Boyd (David) of Swanton; his sister Madalyn Dietrich (Fred) of Ney; and his sister-in-law Janet Jerger of Bryan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
