He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy P. Cooksey and Mae Elizabeth Cooksey (Sutherland); his son Shawn M. Cooksey; and his siblings, Virgil Cooksey, Arlie Cooksey and Mary Wyatt.
He is survived by: his wife Rose M. Cherkas; his children, Gary L. Cooksey, Kimberly D. Cooksey, Donald W. Cooksey, Jay Ralph, Devin W. Cooksey, Cody A. Kruse and Tiffany R. Kruse; his siblings, Harry Cooksey of Roy, Linda Taylor, Margaret Gingrisby and Cletus Cooksey; and his pets, Gidget and Boo Boo. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
Those wishing to attend are asked to abide by social distancing guidelines and wear as mask, as the family is requiring masks.
