He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Prater and Jane Prater (Sparkes). He is survived by: his wife Sarah Munger; his children, Mike Prater (Diane) of Edon, Ted Prater (Melissa) of Tekonsha, Greg Prater (Chaloey) of Allen, Gene Prater (Jennifer Coleman) of West Unity, Tia Davidson (Chris) of Ft. Wayne, Jesse Cole (Dana) of Bryan and Becky Hartman (Jason) of Hamilton, Indiana; and his stepchildren, Milo James of Fingerville and Kelley Walkup (Robin) of Quincy, Michigan. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren; three sisters and five brothers.
