It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dean Smethurst of Montpelier, Ohio, born in Wauseon, Ohio, who passed away on July 30, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Smethurst and Nettie Ellen Smethurst (Wiyrick); his brothers-in-law, Jerry Zulch and Dennis Montoya; and his nephew Bill Zulch.
He is survived by: his wife Susan J. Smethurst of Montpelier; his children, Kimberly Baerlin (Mike) of Bryan and Ted Smethurst (Nasseam) of Southlake, TX; his grandchildren, Haley Long of Pickerington, OH, Kelsey Long of Athens, OH, Dillon, Blake and Hunter Smethurst of Southlake, TX; and his sisters, Barbara Zulch of Montpelier and Virginia Montoya of Arlington, WA.. He is also survived by four step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given in Dean's memory to the Bryan First Church of Christ or Cancer Assistance of Williams County.
