It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thecla Batin (Montezuma, Ohio), born in Muncie, Indiana, who passed away on January 8, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Carolyn Motter; and her brothers, Cecil Alfont (Alice) and William Alfont. She is survived by: her spouses, Willard Hight and Robert Batin; her grandchildren, Annette Lira (Bob), Katrina Volbert (Paul), Erin Kosboth, Nate Kosboth, John Brayman and Joshua Cyphers; her sister Barbara Undem of Muncie; her son-in-law Bill Motter of Waynesfield; her sister-in-law Kathye Alfont of Florida; and her nieces and nephews, Billie Jo Ellis Van, Kevin Undem (Marcie), Curt Alfont (Annette), Karen Undem, Steve Alfont (Melissa), Tracee Simpson, Lyn Gilroy (Fred), Daniel Hight and David Hight (Judy).
