He was predeceased by: his wife Joan M. Sweet; his parents, Myron Sweet and Ellen Sweet (O'Dell); his daughter-in-law Judy Sweet; and his siblings, Betty Winslow, Chuck and Don Sweet.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Sweet (Sue Adkins) of Norwalk and Lorie Pierce (David) of Monroeville. He is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
