He was predeceased by: his parents, Clemens Smith and Blandina Smith (Schnurr); his brother James Smith; his siblings-in-law, Charles Schaffer, Steve Renwand, Carolyn and Theresa Smith; his grandson Thomas Tinnel; and his niece Tami DeMore.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Renwand; his daughters, Cindy Smith, Lynn Miller (Don), Debbie Bumb (Bob), Mary Norcross (Rodger) and Elaine Geiger (Clark); and his siblings, Alfred Smith (Dorothy), Thomas Smith, Lawrence Smith (Lisa), William Smith (Suzanne), Stephen Smith (Debbie), Frances Smith, Bernadette Caramat (Jo), Marcella Schaffer (Don), Theresa Schaffer and Marianne Brock. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
