He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Burkhart and Bernice Burkhart (Hammons); his stepmother Lora Burkhart (Jarrett); his niece Tammy Arguelles; and his nephew Weston Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Burkhart; his children, Rebecca Richards (Brian) and Steven Burkhart (Angela); his grandchildren, Nickolas Richards (Elizabeth), Allison Richards, Samuel Richards, Chelsea Burkhart, Alexander Burkhart and Audrey Burkhart; his great grandchildren, Lydia and Amelia Richards; his sisters, Wanda Faye Williams and Kathy Westerfield; and his siblings-in-law, Chester, Butch Roaden and Fran Yauger. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
