He was predeceased by: his mother Mary (Szenderski); his stepfather John Rokicki; his father Joseph; and his brother Charles (Dottie). He is survived by: his former wife Kathleen Hoffman; his wife Kathie; his daughters, Erin O'Shea (Jim Placzkiewicz) and Shannon Loera (Shawn); his grandchildren, Savannah, Corey, Kaleb, Jake and Jesse; his brother Dennis (Audrey); and his cousin Jimmy Thompson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Toledo Humane Society.
