He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer V. Cofer and Rosa Lee Cofer (Aunspaugh). He is survived by: his children, Michael Cofer (Pat) of Deer Park, TX., Sharon White (Dan) of Naples, FL., Sandy Francisco of Phoenix, AZ., Karen Barrick (Bill) of Toledo and Anita Laginess (Fred) of Monclova; his sister Jackie Scherer; and his wife Ruby (English). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
