He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Nelson and Geraldine Zahniser (Blackson); his wife Mary Ann Nelson (Burhen); and his daughter Joanne Nelson. He is survived by: his sons, Richard L. Nelson (Jenny) of Akron, Ohio and Michael E. Nelson (Robin) of Mogadore; his stepson Harold Swartz; his grandchildren, Manuel, Michele, Mindy, Megan and Amanda Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Claira and Jaxson. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.
