Robert Destefano Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 23, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Robert Destefano of Mogadore, Ohio, born in Yonkers, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter DeStefano and Mary Guman; and his sister Patricia Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Valerie (Nicely); his children, Kirk DeStefano (Michelle), April Evans (Doug) and Kimberly Brown (Allen); his grandchildren, Derek, Tyler, Shane, Leah, Alexandria, Melody, Michelle, Autumn and Tiffany; his great grandchild Avery; and his siblings, Richard DeStefano (Betty) and Rita Stancil.
His biggest contributions to softball were his outstanding efforts to promote and unify softball in the Akron area, while almost single-handedly supervising the construction and procuring donations for the material, and the completion, of the Softball Hall of Fame Room at Firestone Stadium.
