He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Ernst and Esther Ernst (Steinke); and his daughter Pamela Brown. He is survived by: his wife Ann Koester; his daughters, Kelly (Rich Kinninger), Sandra (Marc Baker) and Christine (Tom Shetler); his siblings, Bernie, Dick VerBryke, JoAnn, Tom Barga, Mike and Eunice Ernst; and his sister-in-law Susan (Kurt Kremer). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
