He was predeceased by: his father Henry Arling; his family, Walter, Vera Arling, Elmer, Millie Arling, Dorothy, Arnold Hoelscher and Irene Arling; and his siblings-in-law, Carol, Fred Perise, Nick and Marlene Hoelscher.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Schroeder; his children, Jerry, Barb Arling, Cindy, Terry Liette, Brenda, Bill McCroskey, Sidney, Linda, Brad Holdren, Jeff, Marna Arling, Mark, Karen Arling, Chris, Bruce Shinabery, Michael and Chyna Arling; and his siblings-in-law, Virgil (Butch) and Katie Schroeder. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
