He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roman Baumer and Joan Baumer (Rump); his wife Catherine Phlipot; his children, J. R. (Rebekah Baumer), Jason (Nikki Baumer), Stephanie (Tim Stueve) and Candace (Kevin Meyers); his grandchildren, Aspen of Roman, C. C., Haven, Bently, Willa, Sterling, Alexis, Jordyn, Brayden, Parker and Louis; his siblings, Deb, Scott Smith of Pinedale, WY, Tom and Robin Baumer of Spring City, TN; and his siblings-in-law, Gene, Mary Lou Phlipot, Mark Phlipot, Paul, Pam Phlipot, Vicky Goubeaux, Andy, Brianna Phlipot, Keith Phlipot, Dan Goubeaux and Estella Phlipot.
