He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem Hausfeld and Alvina Hausfeld (Thobe); and his parents-in-law, Tom Monnin, Frances Monnin Holscher (George), Leo Holscher and Larry Joe Monnin.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Monnin; his sons, Ric (Kathy Hausfeld), Randy (Rachel Hausfeld) and Ron (Amy Hausfeld); his grandchildren, Kendra, Abby, Riley, Chelsea (Mayer) and Nate Hausfeld; his stepgrandchildren, Jacob Henn, Ethan Henn, Matt and Sarah Burns; his sister Shirley Decker of Largo, FL; and his parents-in-law, Lester, Norma Monnin, Linda, Paul Stelzer, Granville, Lisa Holscher and Dayton. He is also survived by 12 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Minster Historical Society Veteran's display.
