He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlin and Emily Francis; and his sister Virginia Frecker. He is survived by: his wife Ann Gagel; his children, Christopher (Angela Buchanan), Ellen Buchanan, Tobias (Julianne Buchanan), Emily (Monte McKibben), Yorktown and Katherine (David Hawkins); and his brothers, Richard (Terri Buchanan), Jim (Jerilyn Buchanan) and Kevin Buchanan. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
A celebration of life gathering is being planned for this summer if covid allows or it.
