He was predeceased by: his father Joel B. Marsh Sr.; and his stepfather Kenneth P. Kaine. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Marsh (Bedford); his wife Holly; his daughter Moriah Prentice (Brian) of Berkshire, NY; his friend Marlene Bell of Steubenville, OH; his siblings, Grant Marsh of Steubenville, OH, Jimmy Marsh of Richmond, OH, Jason Marsh of Richmond, OH, Greg Marsh of Wintersville, OH, Angel Marsh (James Boniey) of Steubenville, OH and Holly Crites (Jimmie) of Amsterdam, OH; and his grandchildren, Everett, Elmer and Gracelee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joel's name can be made to Suicide Prevention.
