He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gorney and Bertha Richards (Riddle); his stepfather Harold Richards; his brother Ronald Gorney; and his stepbrothers, Gene Richards and Dickey Richards.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Gorney (Valuska); and his stepbrother Kevin Richards of Brookside, OH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
