He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Roy and Mabel Nibert Shoemaker; his wife Sharon Lee Riley Shoemaker; his brother Paul Shoemaker; and his nephew Brett Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Shoemaker (Jody) of Loveland, James Shoemaker of Minford, Adam Shoemaker of Medina and Lee Ann Shoemaker of Batavia; his grandchildren, Emma Shoemaker, Nicholas Shoemaker (Ashley), Eli Shoemaker and Pamela Shoemaker (Michael Daugherty); his brother Wayne Shoemaker (Bev) of Jackson; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Riley of Heath and Judy Shoemaker of Pataskala. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
