He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ellwood Hines and Hazel Hines (Crowl); his close friend Samuel L. Weir; his wife Mary Jean Hines (McCready); his close friend Donna Ermlich of Alliance; his children, Dixie Reynolds (Glenn) of Blacksburg, VA and Randy Hines (Mona) of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Douglas Robert Hines (Jane) of Austin, TX and Lauren Robinson (Ben) of Houston, TX; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Caroline.
