He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Michael Shaffer Sr. and Erma Quillen (Shaffer); his wife Lois Shaffer (Davenport); his brother Ronnie Shaffer; his sons, Michael Shaffer (Vicki Shaffer) of Paris and Bruce Shaffer (Michele) of Minerva; his siblings, Shirley Strader of Navarre, Beverly Michel of Canton, Harold Shaffer (Karen) of Canton South and Glen Shaffer of East Sparta; his siblings-in-law, Jesse Davenport (Katherine) and Tom Davenport (Donna) of Louisville; and his grandchildren, Tami Rascona (John), Valerie Perry (Tom), Raelyn Coates (Brian), Arryn Slutz (Billy), Adam Shaffer (Haley) and Andrew Shaffer (Dawn). He was also cherished by 10 great grandchildren.
