She was predeceased by: her parents, John Jacob and Ruth Pauline Scott (Hanke); her siblings, Larry, John and Joan Mercer; and her brother-in-law Richard Mercer.

She is survived by: her son Barry Thoman II (Heather) of Fairlawn; her grandchildren, Jake, Evie, Ben and Peter; and her sisters-in-law, Georgene Scott and Donna Scott.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Village of St Edwards Employee Christmas Fund, to directly benefit the wonderful staff that cared for her during her last years (3131 Smith Road, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333).
