He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Slaton and Aretha Slaton (Cox). He is survived by: his wife Marie Slaton (Allen); his children, Tammie Birmingham (Patrick), Canton, Kenneth Slaton Jr. (Valerie) of Hartville and Marcia Zwick (Kevin) of Randolph; his grandchildren, Brook Young, Brittany Young, Savannah Slaton, Kenneth "Trey" Slaton III, Grant Slaton, Mackenzie Zwick and Olivia Zwick; and his great grandchildren, Jayden Young and Ginnavera Stuart.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll County Animal Protection League or the Diabetes Association.
