He was predeceased by: his parents, John D Howlett and Dorothy G Howlett (Jewell); his wife Nancy Elizabeth Howlett; and his son James R Howlett. He is survived by: his children, Beth (Brian) of Magnolia and John of Minerva; his grandchildren, Brianna Patterson (Andrew) of East Sparta, Richard of Minot, ND, Robert (Sarah) of Dellroy and Cody of Dellroy; and his sister Twila German of Vermillion.
