He was predeceased by: his parents, George Rogers and Attie Rogers; and his sons, George William and Lloyd Eugene. He is survived by: his wife Verna Mae Helms; and his grandchildren, Matthew Sweeney, Tamarickia "Tammy" Bloomfield (Rogers), Georgia Said (Rogers) and Krisia Rogers.
