He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Shields and Elizabeth Shields (Shory); his wife Barbara Shields (Ray); and his sister Mildred Wartluft. He is survived by: his children, Sonia Weber (Kirk) of Holly Springs, NC and Scott Shields (Diane) of Minerva; his sister Dorothy Birney of Minerva; his grandchildren, Shannon (Daniel), Emily, Rachel (Timmy) and Scotty (Crystal); and his great grandchildren, Ava, Grayson, Branson, Isaac, Kylee and Kolton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home, Inc. (206 E Lincolnway, Minerva, OH 44657). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
