He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Nitz and Hazel Nitz (Zerkle); his wife Fairy Nitz (McGlinsey); and his siblings, Aberta Marteny, Veta Warner, Tatricia Nitz, Hope Dale Evan, Loraine Oliver, Tressie Register, Wilma Lemon, Verlin, Leon, Jerry, Richard, Freddy, Roger, Ronald, Charles Larry and David Joseph Nitz.
He is survived by: his children, Sally Zarbach of Scio, Jerry Nitz (Brenda) of Carrollton, Harold Nitz (Betty) of Alliance and Robert Nitz of Minerva; and his siblings, Wilda Jean Cogar (Harry) of Wayneburgh, PA, Ramona Carter, Janice Lantz of Buckhannon, WV and Stanley Nitz (Kathy) of Belvue, MI. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren.
